As launch date approaches for the new council website, we need your help once more.
The website is now in the testing stage. Content is still being added and quality checked, and development will continue right up until launch. The website is by no means finished at this stage. When you look at the beta site, there are areas on the home page and the sub pages which look unfinished because they are unfinished. Similarly with content, if you cannot find web pages or you have issues with them, these are being worked on. We will be asking all internal publishers to check all of their content on the new website at a later date, when we are satisfied that we have completed the migration.
So why are we asking you to test an unfinished website?
Because you’ll understand that it’s much more effective to ask you to give feedback on an unfinished product, while there is still time to change it, than presenting the finished product and expecting you to accept it.
This is your chance to tell us what you think – whether it’s easy to use, whether you can find things quickly and easily, and your feedback on the new features and functionality.
I’ll be posting the link to the test site here soon. Don’t worry – it’s not another survey – you might actually enjoy this!
Please add a comment below if you want to publicly voice your opinion on the beta website.
