Consultation was a priority from the very start of the website project. Your expectations as a website user have soared in recent years due to technological and web design developments and unless we find out what you’re looking for in a new site, we can’t meet those expectations.
We have been out looking for quantitative and qualitative feedback from you to discover:
- What you think about the website www.medway.gov.uk
- How you use the website and what you use it for
- How people in Medway use the internet in general, and through which channels/access points
- What you would change about the website
- What you would expect from the new website
We have used a wide variety of surveys and sources to find out all the information above, including
- MOSAIC demographic profiling reports to find out who in Medway is using the internet
- Website analytics reports which include information showing what pages/information people are looking for on the website, how long they are online for, what terms they are searching for and from what pages they are leaving the website
- Surveys sent out via email to Medway residents
- A survey on the Medway Council website, hosted by Socitm (the Society of IT Managers) asking people to rate their satisfaction with the site
- Staff surveys and consultation sessions
- Socitm’s Better Connected report – an annual report scoring all local government websites against a set of criteria
We gathered reams of information from the sources above – take a look at what we found out and what we’re doing to respond to all of your feedback.
